Today I was playing a little bit with Google’s Analytics and surprise … I found the 1st rip-off of my old website just replaced.
I am amazed they really didn’t bothered to change a pixel more than the logo ….
I wonder what you can achieve stealing other’s work. Probably few moments of glory … I really don’t know. See the screenshot and try to understand if you can …
What amaze me the most is that it (faixal.com) didn’t bothered at least to change my tracking .js file so I can see him in my stats .. probably he immagined that if he change the .js file the site will not work anymore … LOL

In my opion it is one of the worst things you can do, you can try to work a lil bit from scratch but completly, never…

That’s really a “DON’T”!
14Dec2006

Hopefully you send him a nice “friendly” email about this

What’s astounding is the amount of traffic stealing a design generates. It must do wonders for google pagerank, especially when all these prominant bloggers feature it on their blogs.
Wouldn’t it be better to simply ignore the copycats?

Shame on them, however, the site is not longer up. Your design was great man.

They didn’t update the tracking .js? Hah! I’ve had a site of mine ripped, and the copycats didn’t even bother to change the contact telephone number, leaving me to clean up for them…
